Born and raised in the Upper Valley, I have always had a passion for nature, animals, and caring for others. Exploring my creativity and learning new things excites my soul! Over the years, I have been drawn to occupations that allow me to express my creativity. As a teenager, I worked at a flower shop creating silk flower arrangements. When I graduated from high school, I was a lead cake decorator at a local grocery store. While I was able to express my creativity, something was missing. I began working for a hiring agency where I managed the staffing needs of area nursing homes and hospitals. While there was little room for creativity in this position, it did allow me to develop management skills, and it showed me that I am also detail-oriented.
After several years with the agency, I accepted a position at a local hospital in Lebanon, NH. During this time, I had planted my roots in Enfield, NH with my husband, our son, and our fur babies. Together, we were building a great life together when, sadly, my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As his disease progressed, I decided to take a leave of absence from work so I could tend to my father before he passed. Caring for him and ensuring his last days with us were peaceful and comfortable was extremely important to me.
Working at the hospital for over 18 years, as well as the time I spent caring for my father, opened my eyes to a deeper level of health care that I discovered I had a passion for. I decided to go to school to become an LNA and soon began working as an Endoscopy Tech. This provided me the opportunity to work directly with providers and patients. Over time, as I learned more about myself, I continued searching for ways to offer even more to my patients.
I decided to return to school, enrolling in a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program. Being a COTA allows me to be both creative and work directly with patients. Building relationships with people, learning about their needs, and working to improve their day-to-day lives has been the most rewarding work I have done yet.The COVID-19 pandemic has shown me a new side of myself and a better understanding of who I am and who I want to be. I uncovered my empathic self. Meditation became a part of my daily routine.
Suddenly, there was a turning point for me, and I remember vividly when it happened. I had visited the ocean over the winter months, which is always a healing experience on its own, and began reading a book on Chakra healing. I could not put it down! Intrigued, I decided to learn more. Returning home, I discovered Reiki, energy healing. As I worked on healing and balancing myself, passion and skill began to unfold, and I haven’t looked back!
My true calling is to help others learn to heal themselves, to help them uncover their innate ability to heal themselves. Driven to learn and grow, and become my true, authentic self, I am now a professionally trained Reiki Master as of May12,2021. I continue to learn more and more about holistic and natural approaches for healing. Completing a Certified Breath Coach training October 20, 2021 and now helping people improve the quality of life including post COVID clients. February 2,2022 I started my training in IPT bodywork. This protocol developed by Lee Albert, NMT which helps people live pain free and build knowledge and skills to continue balancing out the muscle in their bodies to maintain a pain free life.
I recognize there are limitations in traditional settings and I am driven to pursue the natural approach in my own practice. I am constantly encouraged and inspired by my clients. Each experience is unique and rewarding, especially when I see the positive impact I have made on their lives. Being able to provide the jumpstart people need to revitalize their own health and wellness is undeniably the most rewarding adventure yet.
I will forever be grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have had along the way that brought me to the point of being my true authentic self. Sharing that with all of you, my clients, is my life’s purpose.
WHAT ENERGY,BREATHING AND BODYWORK HAS DONE FOR ME
For over 15 years I have been suppressing a lot of negativity, sadness, and anger I had experienced in my life. As time passed, it had created energetic imbalances and blocks in my body, to the point where it affected intimacy with my husband. We were at a point of acceptance, knowing nothing could change, as doctors were unable to offer any help or guidance except talk therapy, which I tried.
Since learning about Reiki, the power of conscious breathing and bodywork, I began transforming my wellbeing and sticking to a health routine. I incorporated crystals that are beneficial for my immediate needs, Rose Quartz, to be specific. I could feel a change occurring in my body after a few weeks. A healing of mind, body, and spirit, which has allowed me to experience a natural high and a deeper connection with my body. I continue to work on myself and continue to heal and balance the energy and muscles within myself. The power of breath has helped me maintain the shifts of energy from Reiki and continue to improve my quality of life. Seeing the results of my work in a very personal way motivates me beyond words. Reiki and breathing have truly been life-changing for me. I know it can help my clients in a multitude of ways. I realize some people are skeptical, or even feel like all is lost. I am here to tell you that you have it deep inside you, and you, too, can heal!
